Joshua Ikyernum is a legendary gospel hip hop artist. Born in the city of Makurdi the Benue state Capital, North Central Nigeria. He is the lead Pastor New Anointing ministries and currently oversees her Abuja campus “the City of Kings”
He embraced music at an early age, his adventure in music began with him singing in the church choir and then teaming up with friends to start a rap group called “Hebrew boys”
In his teenage years Joshua was musically influenced by the legendary Tupac Amaru Shakur, Christopher Wallace ( the Notorious BIG) Nasiru Oludara Jones (Nas) and Nigerian born gospel Rapper Da-Capo Emmanuel Edili.
He adopted the stage name Da Hebrew, in 1999, when he embraced a solo musical career, pursuing a passion that has spanned over three decades with three Gospel rap albums to his credit.
joshua believes music should not just excite and entertain, but educate, inform, inspire, and provoke listeners to action, positively pursuing purpose and embracing a higher call.
