Enoch Adeboye: A Preacher of Holiness, Not Prosperity
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has made it clear that his calling is to preach holiness, not prosperity, as is often associated with certain ministers.
During a recent sermon, Adeboye stressed that his focus is on guiding believers toward holy living and a closer walk with God, rather than emphasizing material wealth.
“I am not a prosperity preacher; I am a holiness preacher,” he affirmed, reminding Christians that the true essence of their faith lies in righteousness and obedience to God’s word.
He further explained that while God does bless His people, the foundation of the Christian journey must remain holiness.
Since taking leadership of RCCG in 1981, Adeboye has consistently championed messages of salvation, sanctification, and living a life that honors God. His latest remarks reaffirm his long-standing commitment to holiness preaching in an age where prosperity messages often dominate church platforms.
